AI-First DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, deployment, and automation of AWS infrastructure.

• Develop and sustain secure, scalable, and reusable infrastructure utilizing Terraform.

• Create, implement, and refine CI/CD pipelines to enhance efficient and high-quality software delivery.

• Provide support for a multi-tenant SaaS platform with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure infrastructure and deployment practices align with platform objectives.

• Set best practices for monitoring, logging, alerting, access control, and operational readiness.

• Identify and integrate AI solutions that enhance DevOps workflows, minimize manual tasks, and boost team efficiency.

• Design and implement AI agent workflows and MCP server integrations to automate DevOps operations, reduce toil, and speed up engineering delivery.

• Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Lead with accountability and responsiveness, maintaining a strong commitment to quality and timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• More than 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, or a comparable role.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS.

• Profound knowledge of Terraform and best practices in infrastructure as code.

• Significant experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong understanding of cloud security, secrets management, access control, monitoring, and deployment automation.

• Experience in supporting production systems with a focus on uptime, scalability, and operational quality.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

• Excellent organizational skills, follow-through, and a commitment to delivering quality work on schedule.
