AI Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Must be based in the UK

• Accountable for creating automations and AI integrations that incorporate AI into operational processes

• Design, implement, and sustain AI-enabled automations across the essential systems stack

• Execute tasks aligned with an internal AI roadmap covering Customer Operations, Marketing, Finance, Education, and Training

• Automate high-volume manual administrative tasks

• Develop AI-integrated workflows within Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot, Zuora, and Thrive LMS

• Transform the Mission Control data platform into a catalyst for event-triggered automation

• Minimize operational overhead while enhancing reporting speed and accuracy

• Create and manage automation pipelines utilizing n8n, Zapier/Make, and direct LLM API integrations (OpenAI/Anthropic)

• Establish API and webhook integrations across Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot, Zuora, and Thrive LMS

• Implement workflows including ticket summarization, tagging, routing, and AI triage

• Design and execute RAG pipelines and vector database integrations with internal knowledge

• Develop, test, and version prompts; assess and enhance output quality

• Construct event-triggered automations and AI-driven reporting on Mission Control

• Apply robust engineering principles: error management, logging, and automation monitoring in production

• Guarantee GDPR-compliant and secure management of customer and company data

• Clearly document solutions and transfer them to internal teams for ongoing operation

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in delivering LLM-based automation in production settings

• Extensive experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier

• Proficient in Python and SQL

• Strong capability in API and webhook integration

• Experience with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs and prompt engineering

• Familiarity with building RAG pipelines and working with vector databases

• Background in automating CRM (Salesforce) and support (Zendesk) environments is preferred

• Experience in B2B SaaS or similar fast-paced environments

• Proven ability to deliver as a contractor: scoping, constructing, and transitioning projects smoothly

• Comfortable collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to refine requirements

• Focused on delivery and pragmatic in approach

• High level of agency and accountability

• Organized, with a keen focus on reliability and security

• Able to navigate ambiguity comfortably

• Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
