Adjunct Faculty – SOE Clinical Supervisor – Teacher Credential Programs, Ed Specialists (Mild to Moderate & Extensive Needs)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as a clinical supervisor for teachers of credential candidates.

• Assist the candidate in adapting to the site.

• Partner with the Cooperating/Mentor Teacher.

• Utilize formative and summative assessment tools to evaluate and support the student's development using GoReact for remote observations.

• Maintain continuous communication with both the teacher credential candidate and the Cooperating/Mentor Teacher.

• Evaluate lesson and unit plans created by UMass Global teacher credential candidates.

• Offer CalTPA support for Cycles 1 & 2 and participate in ongoing training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a California Teaching Credential in the relevant content area of supervision.

• A Master’s degree in education or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience teaching in diverse educational environments.

• Understanding of Common Core and California state standards and frameworks, along with instructional practices that enhance student learning, including effective strategies for engaging English learners and students with special needs.

• Recent professional experience in PK-12 school settings where curriculum aligns with California's adopted content standards.

• Experience in mentoring teachers and/or teacher credential candidates.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that foster and empower educators.
