This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Participate in a consultative, relationship-focused sales approach with high-value clients in the Security sector.
• Act as the primary relationship manager with key decision-makers and influencers within accounts.
• Oversee the implementation of Ouster’s Gemini-Detect security solutions across North America.
• Take charge of the entire sales process from prospect generation to value proposition, negotiation, and deal finalization.
• Recognize new customer needs and relay them to the product management and engineering teams.
• Cross-sell within existing customer accounts, utilizing successes from current projects to uncover new opportunities within the same organization.
• Maintain internal reporting and forecasting for business operations and finance teams.
• At least five years of experience in sales, sales engineering, or business development within the Security field.
• Familiarity with and experience in security systems, including Video Management Systems like Genetec and Milestone, Access Control, and traditional detection methods.
• Capability to navigate intricate sales processes, including collaboration with system integrators, technology partners, and end-users on security applications.
• Technically adept: Eager to deepen knowledge of the company's technology and products beyond a superficial understanding.
• The ideal candidate will discern gaps within the current organization and take initiative to ensure Ouster meets essential requirements to enhance product positioning.
• Inquisitive/Analytical: Capable of adopting the customer's perspective.
• Resourceful/Innovative: Creative in finding efficient ways to accomplish tasks.
• Organized/Dedicated: Consistently follow up and maintain engagement with stakeholders.
• Professional/Approachable: Conduct conversations and meetings with external parties smoothly, charismatically, and with authority.
• Self-aware/Humble: Open to constructive feedback (both positives and areas for improvement) and proactively seeks opportunities for personal development.
• Proficient in CRM systems and prospecting tools such as Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, and Groove.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is required; an MBA or degree in Engineering is advantageous.
