This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of IT controls that support AML and Financial Crimes processes, such as transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and KYC/CDD platforms.
• Conduct issue validation and remediation testing to determine if corrective actions effectively address identified risks and regulatory findings.
• Implement risk-based audit procedures, which include controls testing and focused substantive testing.
• Assess IT general controls, change management processes, security controls, operational processes, and data controls that support AML technology environments.
• Perform model validation and controls testing, including evaluations of governance, methodologies, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze technical documentation, system configurations, data flows, reports, and application controls to evaluate risk and substantiate audit conclusions.
• Identify control deficiencies, evaluate root causes, and offer actionable recommendations.
• Create clear, concise, and high-quality audit documentation for internal audit, regulatory, and stakeholder review.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Audit, Technology Risk, Internal Audit, or a related area within banking or financial services.
• Proven experience in performing controls testing, targeted substantive testing, issue validation, or regulatory remediation reviews.
• Familiarity with AML and Financial Crimes processes, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence.
• Experience in evaluating IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, security controls, and change management processes.
• Background in model validation, model governance, or assessments of control effectiveness.
• Capability to review and interpret technical documentation, system architecture, data flows, system configurations, and code.
• Strong analytical, documentation, written communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Preferred: experience with consent order validation and regulatory remediation programs.
• Preferred: background with large global banking institutions.
• Preferred: involvement in AML, Financial Crimes, Compliance, or Regulatory Risk functions.
• Preferred: familiarity with Model Risk Management or model governance frameworks.
• Preferred: experience within regulatory environments involving OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, or similar organizations.
