Tax and Research Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Analyzes and enhances tax returns while keeping abreast of the latest changes in tax legislation.

• Leads dynamic client projects, emphasizing Partnership tax.

• Investigates tax issues, prepares comprehensive memos, and refines client tax strategies.

• Mentors and guides staff, establishes quality control procedures, and fosters business development.

• Aids in tax compliance, performs thorough research on tax laws and regulations, and offers actionable recommendations.

• Supervises the preparation and examination of complex returns, ensuring adherence to tax regulations.

• Formulates strategies to minimize tax liabilities.

• Cultivates client relationships, mentors team members, and keeps the staff informed about updates in tax regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• CPA or EA certification is preferred, or currently in progress.

• Over 4 years of experience in public accounting.

• Experience in Renewable Fuels is advantageous.

• Proficient in technical research and writing.

• Strong leadership and motivational capabilities, with experience in training and mentoring team members under tight deadlines or challenging circumstances.

• Outstanding client service and relationship management abilities, paired with effective and professional communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word.
