This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Investigate the technical specifications of components and products utilizing SAP, customer or vendor websites, general internet searches, or various database tools.
• Under the guidance of the Assistant Trade Compliance Manager, assign and input EU HTS, ECNs, and other pertinent import/export data into SAP or MS Excel database.
• Create and maintain product research files that include data entry, retrieval, and development.
• Organize, partition, extract, or augment data items using SAP or MS Excel tools, incorporating advanced functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Conduct audits and evaluations of data entries for precision and completeness.
• Execute general administrative tasks to assist the Global Trade Compliance Team, which includes file creation, entry reviews, and organizational responsibilities.
• Aid in the formation of product research files, ensuring timely and accurate updates through data entry and retrieval.
• Guarantee adherence to EU regulations for import/export, focusing specifically on the classification of products and components.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and the maintenance of compliance documentation as necessary.
• May receive additional tasks as required to support the Global Trade Compliance Team.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Import & Export classification.
• Familiarity with or experience in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Numbers (ECNs) is advantageous.
• Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• A degree in Engineering or a related technical field is mandatory.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, including data sheets and material specifications.
• Preferred experience in import/export processes, with a particular focus on imports acceptable.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Capability to manage and manipulate data in Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Experience with Power BI is an asset, though not essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
