This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +3 more countries.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of submissions to ensure they meet the journals' criteria.
• Fostering a culture that encourages collaboration, creativity, and high standards.
• Developing global networks and commissioning engaging papers that align with the journal's scope, including thought-provoking front matter articles.
• Collaborating closely with the Cell Press editorial family, the production and operations team, as well as the business development and marketing teams to support cross-journal initiatives and share best practices.
• Representing Cell Genomics and Cell Press at conferences and public events, highlighting the journal's impact and connecting with the broader scientific community.
• Traveling for participation in both domestic and international conferences and visiting research institutions to interact with researchers.
• Working alongside editorial teams from relevant Cell Press journals.
• A Ph.D. in a field related to the topics covered by Cell Genomics.
• A minimum of 5 years of editorial experience.
• Proficiency in critically analyzing a wide array of scientific issues.
• A keen interest in engaging with the scientific community.
• An aptitude for simplifying complex concepts and effectively communicating them.
• Excellent teamwork abilities and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities to achieve overall team objectives.

• A genuine interest in science communication and current publishing trends.
