Senior Product Designer, Tracking Experience

Posted Jun 3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

đź“‹ Description

• Create an engaging food tracking experience that includes meal logging, daily AI insights, and habit-forming features that encourage users to interact multiple times each day. Each interaction should be purposeful, minimizing cognitive load to sustain habits over weeks, not just days.

• Take full ownership of the discovery process from beginning to end. Develop and implement research strategies for new projects, select the most appropriate methods for each question (such as user interviews, usability testing, assisted testing, and A/B experiments), and convert both qualitative and quantitative data into design choices that positively influence user behavior and our OKRs.

• Produce high-quality mobile UI that you can take pride in—clean, thoughtful, and refined. The standards are elevated here as users engage with this work daily, and minor details can quickly accumulate at our scale.

• Rapidly prototype using AI-driven tools (like Lovable and Replit) alongside Figma. Quickly explore multiple directions, then leverage your aesthetic judgment to select and enhance the most compelling option.

• Collaborate closely with the engineering team throughout the process. Validate feasibility early on, ensure alignment on implementation, and remain engaged until launch to guarantee that the final product aligns with the design vision.

• Showcase your work during our bi-weekly Product Review sessions: start with asynchronous Loom presentations and then present live to senior stakeholders. You'll articulate your design choices, receive direct feedback, and share your perspective when it counts.

• Contribute to our design system and project libraries, playing a key role in establishing a consistent foundation that scales across the product organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have experience designing core user flows in a B2C mobile application—the screens that users engage with daily. You enjoy considering how minute details influence long-term experiences, and you adopt a behavioral perspective on how habits develop on small screens.

• You possess significant mobile design expertise. You instinctively design for thumbs and small screens, and your portfolio reflects the thoughtful mobile work that comes from extensive engagement with the medium.

• You proactively conduct discovery without needing direction. You will independently define questions, select methods, carry out research, and return with insights that genuinely impact design.

• You demonstrate strong visual design skills and uphold a high standard for UI quality. You can quickly identify when something appears off and refuse to release anything that you’re not proud of.

• You are proficient with AI design tools (such as Lovable, Replit, Framer, Dovetail, or similar) and integrate them into your daily workflow. It’s a plus if you have worked on product features that utilize AI, rather than merely designing with it.

• You are an effective and confident communicator. You can convey your rationale to non-designers, welcome feedback from senior stakeholders, and share your insights when your perspective differs.

• You excel in environments that grant you full ownership and autonomy. You apply strong judgment to your work and take initiative rather than waiting for approval at each step.

🏝️ Benefits

• Enjoy 30 vacation days to unwind and recharge, plus 5 child sick days for when your little one needs your attention.

• A remote-first work model: operate entirely from home, utilize a co-working space, or work abroad for several weeks each year.

• A culture focused on efficiency over long hours—no expectations for overtime, and if it does occur, you will receive that time back!

• A high-impact work environment where your contributions lead to meaningful change—swift decision-making processes with no micromanagement.

• A team culture that balances ambition with well-being, supported by strong connections—from our fully sponsored company retreat to team gatherings and virtual coffee breaks.

• Access to the tools and resources necessary for peak performance: a MacBook, a monitor, and an annual learning budget of €1,000, along with regular feedback and opportunities for career growth.

• Join a truly international team where English is the primary language, fostering a shared commitment to growth and well-being—bolstered by Sunday Supplements and Nilo Health.
