
Senior Medical Editor – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in the content evaluation process, refining project materials for spelling, grammar, consistency, tone, adherence to creative briefs, client standards, AMA style, and precise referencing.
• Take part in the development stage to establish uniformity in content and presentation frameworks.
• Collaborate with authors, account management, clinical writers, production teams, and other personnel on content modifications and project finalization.
• Represent the department during internal kickoff and status meetings.
• Ensure that materials comply with each client’s MLR submission protocols and assist with MLR functions.
• Create and uphold editorial style guides for use across departments.
• Mentor and train department staff and other collaborators as necessary.
• Aid in the preparation of medical/legal/regulatory submissions.
• Write and develop internal or corporate materials as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of editing experience within the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of AMA 11th edition style.
• Experience in editing both print and digital content as well as managing the routing of electronic files.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with editing using Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Established editorial experience in an agency setting.
• Ability to handle multiple projects while ensuring accuracy.
• Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in advertising, pharmaceutical marketing, medical communications, and/or medical education.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Veeva, Zinc, or MLR submission systems.
• Preferred: Knowledge of FDA regulations concerning pharmaceutical advertising.
