• Leading efforts to resolve electrical technical issues related to food can and end performance.
• Designing Electrical Systems, overseeing the installation, testing, and hands-on commissioning of projects.
• Creating comprehensive documentation for both new and existing installations.
• Providing ongoing support for new installations and facilities until production efficiency and objectives are achieved.
• Specifying electrical materials, obtaining quotations, and collaborating with the purchasing department to acquire necessary materials for installation support.
• Developing the scope of work, identifying qualified contractors, requesting bids, and selecting the most suitable based on cost and capability.
• Collaborating with corporate purchasing protocols to request and receive purchase orders for equipment and suppliers.
• Assisting plants and staff as needed to identify production issues, propose viable solutions, and implement them.
• Managing time and project costs to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
• Creating job completion schedules and tracking their progress.
• Guiding, supporting, and training electrical teams at the plants.
• Mentoring and coaching technical personnel and engineers.
• Extensive travel (up to 80%) will be necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in packaging manufacturing, food production, or a comparable industry.
• Strong technical expertise with a broad understanding of electrical power and control system design and implementation.
• Proficiency in designing machine and line control systems using programmable controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, etc.).
• Experience in facilities power distribution (up to 600v & three-phase) and control systems and subsystems.
• Proven experience in PLC logic programming, documentation, and troubleshooting control programs.
• A successful track record of delivering engineering results to meet scheduled deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects to successful completion.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work effectively both in teams and independently.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
• Strong PC skills are essential, particularly with Word, Outlook, and Excel.
