Senior iOS Engineer, Swift, AVFoundation, Mobile Capture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and create **native iOS applications** utilizing Swift and SwiftUI.

• Develop **guided multi-step capture workflows** that include validation, sequencing, and completion checks.

• Create camera-intensive experiences that encompass photo capture, video recording, and document scanning.

• Implement **offline-first mobile workflows** equipped with synchronization and recovery mechanisms.

• Construct robust upload systems featuring retries, progress tracking, and handling of poor network conditions.

• Integrate backend APIs and collaborate on service contracts and data models.

• Establish quality validation workflows for media captured and structured user inputs.

• Influence architectural decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.

• Manage edge cases concerning permissions, uploads, interrupted sessions, and media processing.

• Work closely with Product, Design, and Platform Engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in **iOS development**.

• Mastery of **Swift** and **SwiftUI**.

• Extensive experience in developing production mobile applications using **AVFoundation**.

• Proven experience in delivering camera-focused workflows for image, video, or document capture.

• Familiarity with building **offline-first mobile applications**.

• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture, state management, and application performance.

• Experience in integrating REST APIs and backend services.

• Capability to independently manage features from design to production deployment.

• Previous employment at companies such as Google, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, Airbnb, Stripe, or similar tech organizations.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with **VisionKit**, **Vision Framework**, OCR, or document scanning solutions.

• Familiarity with speech recognition or on-device transcription workflows.

• Experience in media processing, compression, and image optimization.

• Knowledge of CoreBluetooth integrations.

• Backend development experience or exposure to full-stack engineering.

• Experience in creating products related to inspections, identity verification, field operations, logistics, or data collection workflows.
