Senior Functional Consultant, SAP FI-CO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Client Engagement & Solution Design: Facilitate fit-to-standard workshops and blueprint sessions for R2R (FI/CO) processes.

• Advise clients on enhancing financial processes for scalability, compliance, and user-friendliness.

• Take ownership of the functional solution design, encompassing cross-module (SD, MM, PS) and third-party system integration.

• Process Design & Documentation: Convert intricate business requirements into functional designs, user stories, configurations, and test scenarios.

• Create and sustain detailed functional documentation, such as architecture diagrams, use cases, configuration manuals, test scripts, and cutover plans.

• Project Delivery & Implementation: Oversee the complete SAP S/4HANA implementation lifecycle, which includes the Explore, Realize, and Deploy phases.

• Lead essential project tasks such as UAT execution, cutover planning, data migration validation, and readiness for go-live.

• Offer post-go-live support and stabilization to ensure solution efficiency and user adoption.

• Agile Team Leadership: Serve as the functional lead for the FI-CO stream within cross-functional Agile project teams.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, planning sessions, refinements, and sprint reviews.

• Actively identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and the impacts of changes.

• Collaboration & Coordination: Collaborate closely with technical consultants and other functional streams to guarantee seamless system integration and comprehensive performance.

• Manage change requests, resolve issues, and address escalations independently.

• Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing: Guide junior consultants by directing their project contributions, assigning tasks, and facilitating their learning.

• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and assist in standardizing delivery practices across the FI-CO team.

• Pre-Sales & Client Development: Contribute to RFI/RFP processes, including scoping, solution design input, estimating, and delivering client presentations and demonstrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6+ years of practical experience in SAP FI-CO consulting.

• Strong functional knowledge in SAP FI (GL, AR, AP, AA, BL) and CO (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing).

• At least one area of expertise in Treasury and Risk Management (SAP TRM) or Cash Management.

• Proficient in leading client workshops, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience in Agile delivery, backlog management, and comprehensive project execution.

• Proven track record of working with clients across various industries to translate business challenges into SAP solutions.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills (both business and technical).

• Strong documentation skills (process flows, configuration rationale, test scripts, cutover plans).

• Self-motivated with a structured approach to task and time management.

• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize workstreams effectively.

• Demonstrated experience in mentoring junior team members, leading functional delivery streams, and conducting end-user training.

• SAP FI/CO certification preferred; familiarity with Group Reporting, Treasury, or localization is advantageous.

• Proficiency in business-level English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
