This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Act as the primary data/programming authority for intricate studies while engaging with clients.
• Oversee all data/programming elements for complex studies from start to finish.
• Present findings independently and address client inquiries regarding data and outcomes.
• Serve as the technical lead and owner at the study level.
• Supervise analyses independently and provide strategic programmatic direction.
• Guarantee the generation of high-quality and scientifically sound real-world evidence.
• Guide the design of databases, structure of CRFs, and strategies for data validation.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and convey statistical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Generate reproducible analyses and documentation adhering to statistical programming best practices.
• A Master’s degree and/or Doctorate in Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline is mandatory.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in statistical programming using SAS and R within a research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or medical environment is required.
• Proven experience in leading complex observational research studies, including longitudinal, EMR, or registry data studies.
• Familiarity with complex longitudinal registry or real-world data.
• Comprehensive understanding of retrospective and prospective observational study designs and associated methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in R is essential.
• Experience with SAS is necessary.
• Demonstrated experience in leading database design input, CRF structure, and strategies for data validation.
• Strong grasp of statistical methodologies applicable to observational and longitudinal data analyses.
• Capability to independently manage projects, prioritize competing deliverables, and oversee multiple timelines.
• Exceptional scientific, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, written communication, interpersonal, and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in conveying complex statistical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Keen attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality, reproducible analyses and documentation.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment with limited supervision.
• Experience in mentoring or supervising junior biostatisticians is preferred.
