Research Contract Specialist – Clinical Research Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the prompt review and execution of research-related contractual agreements on behalf of the System.

• Review and revise research-related agreements in alignment with policy, relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.

• Communicate modifications, negotiate, and finalize agreements with research staff and sponsors.

• Address contract inquiries from research personnel.

• Utilize contract management and project management software to monitor contract activities and generate reports on metrics.

• Collaborate with internal institutional stakeholders, such as Legal Affairs, Information Technology, and Purchasing, to discuss specialized contract matters and gain guidance on regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate with teams from the Office of Research Support Services regarding contract priorities, policy updates, and other concerns.

• Review clinical research documents to verify consistency of terms.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal, or a related field.

• Two (2) years of experience in research, contract administration, or a similar area.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to interpret legal and regulatory terminology.

• Collaborative mindset when working with diverse stakeholders.

• Capability to balance efficiency with risk management.

• Familiarity with contract or project management software is preferred.

• Knowledge of clinical trials, clinical research, and HIPAA regulations is preferred.
