Proofreader, English, Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Assessing lesson materials (including printed resources, slide presentations, online lessons, and practice examinations) for grammatical correctness, clarity, and compliance with specified style guidelines.

• Capability to evaluate educational materials written in both English and Spanish.

• Reporting issues accurately through a ticketing system or as per provided instructions.

• Ensuring quality and consistency of style across all produced content.

• Regular communication with the MasteryPrep team regarding deadlines, feedback, and transparency about work progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of proofreading or editing experience.

• Outstanding communication skills, including a strong command of both English and Spanish languages as well as their respective grammar rules.

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish.

• Comfort in reviewing a variety of subjects, including ELA, STEM, and Social Sciences.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and apply detailed standards as per style guides.

• Capable of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work with a quick turnaround, typically within 24 hours.

• Familiarity with and access to the following tools:

• Stable internet connection

• Slack messaging (access will be provided)

• Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

• Adobe Acrobat DC

• Screen-capture and/or screen-recording software is preferred but not mandatory.

• Preference given to candidates with test prep experience, high standardized test scores, and an educational background.
