Product Engineer

📋 Description

• Take charge of the Integration Lifecycle: Design, test, and uphold the services that synchronize our order and shipping data with numerous global carriers.

• Focus on Problem Solving with Root Cause Analysis: Shift from mere "firefighting" to understanding the underlying reasons for issues. You will implement long-lasting solutions that enhance system stability and performance.

• Build Iteratively: Partner with internal teams and carriers to define requirements, deliver experimental solutions, and iterate based on real-world feedback.

• Integrate and Synchronize: Collaborate with commerce systems and warehouse tools, ensuring that integrations (APIs/Webhooks) are idempotent, dependable, and observable.

• Take Responsibility for Quality: Monitor your services, track error rates in production, and "fix what you ship" to guarantee a top-notch post-purchase experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript: You are adept at working in production with at least one of these languages (preferably both) and are eager to operate in a polyglot environment.

• Database Fundamentals: Experience with relational modeling (PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

• API Knowledge: Understanding of building and maintaining APIs (REST/GraphQL) and managing job queues.

• Cloud Acumen: Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and a strong desire to create observable, scalable services.

• Ownership Attitude: You relish taking a problem from concept to impact and flourish in an environment that prioritizes autonomy over "hero culture."

• Bonus Qualifications: Experience with Django and modern Python tools (uv, mypy, Ruff, Pydantic).

• Exposure to the e-commerce or logistics sector (Shopify Admin API, webhooks, or warehouse management systems).

• Familiarity with Server-driven UIs (HTMX/Alpine.js).

• Experience in observability practices (Sentry, Datadog, or similar metrics and tracing tools).
