This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• In the role of Principal Software Engineer - GoLang, you will be part of the Engineering department, tasked with designing, developing, and supporting enterprise solutions through contributions to the products and infrastructure for CIQ.
• You will also be responsible for maintaining the capacity and performance of our systems.
• The role requires you to troubleshoot and enhance applications and processes.
• You will analyze existing code and industry trends to create engineering solutions that address problems and ensure seamless user experiences.
• Leading and engaging in architecture-level discussions, planning, and implementation is key.
• You will conduct research to ensure that we are always pursuing the best possible path forward.
• Documenting projects will be essential to share knowledge and enhance integration for users.
• You will drive proofs of concept and minimal viable products for demonstration purposes.
• Supporting multiple services prior to their launch will involve system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and conducting launch reviews.
• You will enhance products by collaborating with Engineering, Product, Sales teams, and open-source communities (as necessary) to find optimal and relevant solutions while sharing knowledge.
• Designing and guiding solutions will be part of your responsibility, particularly in addressing ambiguous requirements.
• A solid understanding of Linux and Cloud infrastructure is necessary.
• Significant experience with GoLang, Pulumi, Kubernetes, and other engineering tools and technologies is essential.
• You must be able to adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Expertise in deriving solutions from high-level or incomplete requirements is required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn are imperative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting is crucial.
• A friendly, collaborative, humble, honest demeanor and a commitment to continuous improvement are expected.
• Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
