Principal Biostatistician – Biomarker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with team members from various functions to plan, implement, and evaluate biomarker components, including genomics, related to clinical and biomarker studies.

• Act as the project biomarker statistician under the mentorship of an experienced statistician.

• Formulate the Biomarker Evaluation Plan and ensure uniformity across all projects.

• Contribute statistical insights during clinical development discussions and the application of AI and ML methodologies.

• Organize and manage statistical operations for biomarker research and development initiatives.

• Design and execute advanced data analyses for genomics and biomarker statistics.

• Conduct statistical programming and develop intricate analysis algorithms.

• Manage RNA, Olink, and various other biomarker datasets.

• Generate precise Biomarker Evaluation Reports and interpret the findings.

• Independently tackle routine and complex statistical inquiries, modeling, and tasks.

• Establish and apply standard procedures for routine biomarker assessment analyses.


⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting.

• Requires minimal supervision.

• Experience in utilizing AI and ML techniques.

• Proven track record of independently leading a biomarker study is essential.

• Prior experience in clinical trials; industry background is preferred.

• In-depth understanding of biomarker evaluation, particularly in immunology and infections, type 1 diabetes, relevant parameters, and the underlying biology.

• Proficient in statistical programming languages, including R, Bioconductor, pertinent R packages for genetic data, and Python.

• Experienced in analyzing high-dimensional datasets.

• Familiarity with RNA, Olink, and other biomarker data management.
