Principal Biostatistician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Independently lead statistical activities for assigned Clinical Trials (Phases 1 to 4), from protocol design through to the reporting of results.

• Serve as the Statistics representative on cross-functional trial, indication, or project teams.

• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across various functions.

• Supervise internal programming efforts and/or contributions from CROs on assigned clinical trials.

• Contribute to or spearhead Safety Reporting, ISS/ISE, responses to Health Authority inquiries, and Publications.

• Utilize SAS and/or R for quality control of datasets and deliverables, conduct inferential statistical analyses, modelling/simulation, and exploratory analyses.

• Participate in initiatives at Cytel or on behalf of sponsors.

• Provide oversight to junior Statisticians as required.

• Offer statistical and developmental support for client trials, processes, clinical development plans, concept sheets, and protocols.

• Develop integrated analytical strategies, extract insights from data sources, apply statistical methods along with machine learning/deep learning algorithms, and automate repeatable processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or equivalent degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

• Capability to work independently while demonstrating initiative and adaptability through effective and innovative leadership.

• Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Innovative and collaborative mindset.

• Proficient in SAS programming for quality checking critical outputs and generating efficacy/safety tables.

• Ability to collaborate closely with Programmers.
