This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.
• Receive incoming calls from patients, attorneys, insurance providers, and vendors.
• Conduct outbound follow-up calls and assist in resolving account issues.
• Address written inquiries from patients, attorneys, insurance providers, and vendors.
• Support account resolution by discussing payment and financial assistance options.
• Process and enter patient data while fulfilling document requests.
• Uphold performance and quality standards, including minimizing abandoned calls.
• Ensure adherence to confidentiality protocols, including HIPAA regulations.
• De-escalate patient complaints related to current or overdue services and balances.
• Investigate the patient accounting system to assist patients with inquiries regarding past visits.
• Operate under the guidance of the Customer Service Manager, escalating issues to team leads or functional caregivers as necessary.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
• A high school diploma is mandatory.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience is required.
• An associate's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare office is preferred.
• Clear and effective communication; good hand-eye coordination.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish professional rapport with caregivers.
• Friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service demeanor.
• Capability to continuously operate computer, telephone, fax, and copier equipment.
• Physical ability to sit, walk, and stand as needed.
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data.
• Exceptional short-term and long-term memory.
• Capacity to multitask and adhere to system policies and procedures.
• Ability to visually evaluate paper and electronic data, hear telephone communications, and engage in conversation.
• Self-motivated with outstanding organizational skills.

• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Analytical skills for resolving complex problems using scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
• Familiarity and experience with information systems, internet usage, spreadsheet, and word-processing software.
