This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Assume responsibility for intricate residential loan files from the contract stage through to closing.
• Oversee the complete processing lifecycle in accordance with investor and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Loan Originators, team members, Underwriters, and Closers to identify and address issues.
• Review new loan files within 24–48 hours and confirm compliance disclosures.
• Calculate and analyze borrower income, verify assets, and update Encompass accordingly.
• Order and monitor documentation necessary for Automated Underwriting findings and product specifications.
• Prepare files for underwriting submission utilizing investor-specific checklists.
• Resolve approval and suspense conditions in a prompt manner.
• Gather and evaluate closing documentation, such as title commitments and homeowner’s insurance.
• Process loans to adhere to contract deadlines and rate lock expiration dates.
• Deliver complete files to the Closing Department within the defined timelines.
• Address borrower and third-party inquiries throughout the transaction process.
• Assist with post-closing investor exceptions.
• Stay informed about state mortgage lending laws and regulatory guidelines.
• Order FHA and VA case numbers using government systems and operate GU.
• Provide cross-functional support while continuously enhancing customer service and industry knowledge.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is mandatory.
• At least 10+ years of experience in processing residential mortgage loans is required.
• Familiarity with conventional fixed-rate and ARM products, HELOCs, and construction loans is essential.
• Significant experience in processing FHA, VA, and USDA loans is required.
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple investors and diverse investor guidelines.
• Proficiency in using a mortgage loan origination system is necessary.
• Experience with Encompass is preferred.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
• Capability to calculate and analyze income for hourly, salaried, commissioned, and self-employed borrowers.
• Understanding of Automated Underwriting findings and product requirements.
• Knowledge of current state mortgage lending laws and regulatory requirements is crucial.
• Familiarity with real estate compliance guidelines is necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional communication abilities are required.
• Must refrain from engaging in loan origination while employed with WMC.
• Primarily remote work arrangement.
• Local collaboration and business support associated with the Scottsdale, Arizona branch.
