This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• The Regulatory Expert – Ecotoxicology possesses an understanding of the latest regulatory scientific developments in Ecotoxicology and can effectively translate this knowledge into the organization and preparation of registration dossiers for both conventional and biological plant protection products.
• This role involves overseeing and taking responsibility for lower and higher-tier assessments, which necessitate the involvement of junior Regulatory Ecotoxicologists.
• The primary duty includes writing the ecotoxicology dossier sections for both active substances and formulated product dossiers.
• Conducts assessments of client ecotoxicological data, including data gap analyses and preliminary risk assessments, focusing on the specific regulatory requirements for active substances and/or product dossiers.
• Assists the Section Leader and Regulatory Ecotoxicologists in preparing thorough technical reviews of data or reports to be included in regulatory submissions, ensuring scientific rigor, accuracy, and clarity in the presentation of results.
• Aids the Section Leader in devising strategies to support clients with dossier preparation, including experimental programs that comply with European and national data requirements.
• Collaborates with the Section Leader and Regulatory Ecotoxicologists to organize experimental work, which includes requesting, quoting, monitoring, and scheduling time both within and outside the Eurofins Agroscience Services Group.
• Oversees standard lower and higher-tier as well as non-standard studies.
• In the context of Study Monitoring, engages closely with Study Directors and maintains close communication with laboratories and other relevant Regulatory groups (e.g., phys-chem & Analytical Methods).
• Provides support to clients regarding their dossier stewardship after submission and during dossier defense.
• Works with the Section Leader and Principal Scientist to compile and maintain regulatory documentation and tools.
• Organizes all project-related activities in the field of Ecotoxicology in collaboration with the Section Leader, ensuring compliance with the latest regulatory legislation and scientific guidelines.
• Keeps abreast of recent developments in regulatory fields related to ecotoxicology that may impact the quality of deliverables.
• Collaborates with the Section Leader to identify, analyze, and propose implementation strategies for relevant guidance documents in the preparation of regulatory documentation.
• Actively participates in internal and external Ecotoxicology conferences, seminars, and client meetings as required.
• Assists in producing Regulatory Science documentation (e.g., articles, posters, webinars) in the area of Ecotoxicology to support marketing and sales activities.
• Recognized as an expert in a specialized area of Regulatory Ecotoxicology.
• Possesses a professional command of the English language.
• Proficient in using IUCLID.
• Demonstrated ability to independently define and carry out high-level regulatory research.
• An independent and lateral thinker capable of evaluating, interpreting, drawing conclusions, and implementing solutions.
• Capable of solving complex problems within the area of expertise through logical reasoning and extensive experience.
• Develops scientific relationships and partnerships outside the company to meet business objectives.
