Manager, SOX Compliance and Internal Controls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Leading the IT SOX team while planning, executing, and delivering ITGC SOX testing, which includes evaluating design and assessing operational effectiveness.

• Overseeing SOX program schedules, achieving key milestones for walkthroughs and controls testing while ensuring accuracy in the Auditboard SOX tool.

• Working collaboratively with IT leadership and business process owners to ensure appropriate system scoping, while fostering continuous improvement and effective control ownership.

• Assessing and monitoring the impact of business changes on ICFR, identifying control gaps, inefficiencies, areas for improvement, and assisting in control rationalization efforts.

• Conducting root cause analysis to assess control deficiencies, evaluate the impact on financial reporting, and suggest sustainable solutions during remediation processes.

• Facilitating collaboration with external auditors to supply necessary documentation and ensure adherence to sampling guidelines for internal audit reliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess expertise in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

• Oversee IT SOX testing planning and execution backed by relevant experience, including some exposure to Big 4 or national accounting firms.

• Exhibit a strong understanding of ITGCs, encompassing access controls, change management controls, data integrity controls, and computer operations controls.

• Show proficiency with platforms and databases such as UNIX, Windows, Oracle, and MS SQL.

• Demonstrate knowledge of SOX, AICPA, COSO, COBIT, and SSAE attestation standards.

• Showcase leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, along with exceptional analytical and critical-thinking capabilities, complemented by excellent project management and organizational skills.
