Lead Platform Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and manage the Infrastructure-as-Code baseline that facilitates dedicated single-tenant or on-premises deployment with minimal effort for each customer.

• Set up and manage Docker and Kubernetes (including K3s for smaller or in-bank installations), along with ingress, load balancing, and the CI/CD pipeline.

• Develop and sustain the secrets and certificate management system along with the observability stack.

• Establish procedures for environment promotion, release automation, and rollback — ensuring that deployments are straightforward and repeatable.

• Collaborate with the Security team on encryption, network isolation, and exam-ready hardening in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Optimize and manage GPU and inference infrastructure as the AI workload expands.

• Implement on-call practices, Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and capacity planning ahead of beta scaling.

• Document deployment architecture and operational procedures to assist with customer due diligence and readiness for audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in building and operating production infrastructure, including at least 2 years in a leadership role or directing a platform or infrastructure function.

• Proven track record in shipping and operating software within customer-managed or on-premises settings — deploying and managing environments that are not under your control.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production (covering deployments, networking, storage, and upgrades), as well as robust Linux and networking knowledge.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management as a discipline — including modules, state, idempotency, and the creation of reproducible images.

• A history of enhancing infrastructure reliability, security, and automation rather than relying on manual tuning.
