This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.
• Oversee the design and implementation of scalable iOS build and release tools, including Azure DevOps pipelines, build caching, release automation, shared scripts, reusable tasks, variable groups, and uniform build-system configurations across teams.
• Enhance CI/CD performance and efficiency by assessing emerging tools, minimizing build times, eliminating unnecessary capacity, and measuring impact with quantifiable metrics.
• Establish and maintain coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices within the iOS engineering team.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, DevOps, backend engineers, and technical leads to align technical solutions and tooling direction with business objectives and the overarching mobile platform strategy.
• Mentor and guide iOS engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, growth, and technical excellence.
• Monitor and optimize app performance, stability, and release procedures to guarantee smooth and reliable deployments.
• Stay updated on iOS platform developments, tools, and emerging trends, introducing innovative solutions to keep our applications ahead of the competition.
• Work alongside leadership to shape product roadmaps and contribute to the long-term mobile strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent mix of education, experience, and training.
• A minimum of 4 years experience in building and shipping iOS applications, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.
• Expert-level knowledge of Swift and SwiftUI, with a profound understanding of iOS architectural patterns such as MVVM and VIPER.
• Demonstrated capability to design scalable, modular codebases and lead significant feature development from concept through to release.
• Strong experience in API integration, data persistence, state management, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and efficient release practices.
• Practical experience with Xcode build configurations, Swift Package Manager, toolchain management, and Azure DevOps pipeline design is highly advantageous.
• Outstanding collaboration abilities, with a proven history of influencing technical direction across teams.
