Head of Regulatory Affairs and Licensing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.

📋 Description

• Oversee regulatory changes that affect Tether and its affiliated companies within the region.

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, regulators, central banks, and financial intelligence units.

• Act as the company’s representative in consultations, workshops, industry roundtables, and regulatory discussions.

• Create briefing documents, comment letters, and policy submissions that align with the overarching global regulatory strategy.

• Identify and effectively leverage opportunities to influence emerging frameworks in a way that balances risk sensitivity with innovation.

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine whether licensing or registration is necessary for operations in the region.

• Collaborate with your team and local advisors to successfully secure regulatory approvals in the region when needed.

• Assist in enterprise-level planning for new products or regional expansions by providing insights on regulatory limitations and opportunities to the Company's leadership.

• Contribute to internal reports and executive briefings regarding policy risks and the regulatory landscape in the region.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in governmental affairs, regulatory affairs, or legal roles, preferably within the financial services or crypto-asset sectors in the Middle East.

• Demonstrated success in leading regulatory affairs teams in either the financial services or digital asset industries.

• Proven track record of working with regulators and government entities, advocating and advising in a regulatory context, with successful outcomes in securing favorable policy positions for another organization.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to distill complex regulatory issues for non-technical audiences.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders across various borders and time zones.
