Head of Licensing and Regulatory Authorisations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute a cohesive global licensing strategy, ensuring uniformity across various regional methodologies.

• Collaborate closely with regional licensing teams to evaluate regulatory pathways, assess market viability, and prioritize jurisdictions accordingly.

• Supervise and direct the formulation, submission, and management of licensing applications and other regulatory authorization procedures in partnership with regional teams.

• Guarantee alignment between regional licensing initiatives and overarching global business objectives.

• Act as the primary coordination hub for licensing and regulatory authorization activities across all regions, ensuring that standards, documentation, and methodologies remain consistent.

• Serve as a senior representative in regulatory discussions that necessitate global coordination or executive-level engagement.

• Work with regional teams to ensure their comprehension of local regulatory requirements, preparing them to fulfill jurisdictional authorization obligations as necessary and/or desired, which includes governance, capital, operational, and reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with regional staff to perform regulatory feasibility evaluations for new markets and product expansions.

• Lead and mentor the global regulatory and licensing team, encompassing regional leads and supporting personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory licensing and authorizations, regulatory affairs, compliance, or related sectors (such as financial services, payments, fintech, crypto, or technology).

• Demonstrated experience in managing intricate regulatory authorization processes across multiple regions or markets.

• Comprehensive understanding of various regulatory frameworks and supervisory expectations on a global scale.

• Experience in working within or leading a regional or matrix team structure is highly desirable.
