Ethics and Compliance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution and ongoing management of the compliance program across various areas, including:

• Conflict of Interest (COI)

• Third-Party Risk Management

• Anti-Bribery & Corruption

• Gifts & Entertainment

• Training & Awareness

• Aid in evaluating compliance issues and business requests, ensuring conformity with company policies

• Support the handling of COI, third-party due diligence, and internal compliance workflows (intake, tracking, documentation)

• Help identify training requirements across the organization and assist in the development and delivery of compliance training and awareness initiatives

• Contribute to process enhancement and automation efforts, making compliance processes more efficient and scalable

• Assist in creating compliance playbooks and practical guidance materials (e.g., for third-party onboarding, events, sponsorships, COI handling)

• Support the monitoring and testing of compliance controls, including preparation for internal reviews or audits

• Assist with compliance reporting, including the preparation of materials for management and Board-level reporting

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, Procurement, Sales) on compliance-related matters

• Foster a robust culture of ethics and integrity, promoting transparent communication and ethical decision-making throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a relevant compliance field

• At least 4 years of experience in compliance roles

• Experience within a corporate compliance program

• Solid understanding of key compliance topics (e.g., COI, ABAC, third-party risk, basics of sanctions)

• Excellent organizational and analytical capabilities

• Proactive and hands-on, with a genuine interest in developing and enhancing processes

• Methodical and detail-oriented, yet pragmatic

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across various functions.
