Director, Global Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Oversee the formulation and implementation of GS1’s worldwide healthcare regulatory and public policy strategy, in line with GS1’s overarching enterprise public policy goals.

• Interact at high levels with governments, international organizations, regulators, and authorities within the pharmaceuticals, MedTech, and digital health sectors.

• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with global and regional industry associations and healthcare stakeholders to facilitate regulatory alignment and the adoption of standards.

• Offer recognized expertise and thought leadership through position papers, policy contributions, and strategic advice to support the execution of GS1 standards.

• Serve as a credible and impartial representative for GS1 at international regulatory forums, conferences, and policy discussions.

• Lead and cultivate a global regulatory and regional engagement team, ensuring successful delivery against strategic goals and the development of capabilities across regions.

• Work in close collaboration with GS1 Member Organizations and internal teams to promote education, regulatory alignment, and coordinated global initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or MedTech regulatory settings, with a proven ability to effectively engage with healthcare authorities and regulators.

• Relevant experience within a healthcare manufacturer, supplier, wholesaler, or similar organization; hands-on experience with GS1 standards is highly beneficial.

• Demonstrated success in complex, international, and multicultural environments.

• A solid track record in positions requiring neutrality, credibility, and influence, where results are achieved through collaboration and persuasion.

• Experience in global health, digital health, or regulatory initiatives related to standards is highly preferred.
