• Oversees the daily management and continuous enhancement of digital asset systems, including the organization’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform and associated storage environments.
• Creates and upholds standards, governance frameworks, and workflows for the management of digital assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Guides the transfer of digital content from outdated file systems into efficient, well-organized environments.
• Collaborates closely with teams across the organization to facilitate the effective management and reuse of digital content.
• Develops and provides training, documentation, and guidance to enhance internal capabilities and encourage consistent practices.
• Establishes and sustains metadata standards and practices that assist in discovery, reuse, and interoperability across various systems.
• Plays a vital role in enhancing access to digital materials across systems and services.
• A Bachelor’s degree in information science, museum studies, library science, digital humanities, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience.
• Experience in administering or supporting digital asset management platforms.
• A solid understanding of metadata standards and controlled vocabularies.
• Familiarity with principles of digital preservation and lifecycle management.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience with cloud storage platforms and migrating content from legacy systems.
• Knowledge of copyright, licensing, and usage rights as they pertain to digital assets.
• Experience in developing documentation, training, or user support for digital systems.
• 3–5 years of experience in managing digital assets or digital asset management systems (experience with ResourceSpace is a plus).
