Compliance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Oversee and guarantee adherence to international sanctions regulations, encompassing EU, US, and UK legal frameworks;

• Administer data protection issues both within the organization and externally (employees, customers, partners, and counterparties), including GDPR and other EU/UK/US regulations, as well as internal policies;

• Direct internal compliance processes, which includes performing KYC and KYS procedures;

• Execute Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs), while drafting associated data protection and privacy documentation;

• Manage service abuse notices, takedown requests, and disclosure inquiries from copyright holders, authorities, and other entities;

• Liaise with authorities, financial institutions, and internal departments regarding matters within the scope of responsibility;

• Design and evaluate workflows for processing service abuse and takedown notifications;

• Assist the Compliance Manager in evaluating compliance risks and managing related responsibilities;

• Support the Compliance Manager with due diligence related to business operations;

• Detect and highlight significant compliance issues and trends, escalating them to management;

• Remain informed about regulatory changes and emerging best practices in compliance and risk management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A legal background or a minimum of 1 year of experience in compliance, privacy (data protection), or a similar field

• Certifications or completed training in compliance, privacy, or relevant disciplines are highly preferred

• Previous experience in the IT or Cloud sector is beneficial
