Compliance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Oversee and ensure adherence to international sanctions regulations, encompassing EU, US, and UK legal frameworks.

• Manage data protection issues both within the organization and externally (including employees, customers, partners, and counterparties), in accordance with GDPR and other EU/UK/US regulations, as well as organizational policies.

• Supervise internal compliance procedures, which involve executing KYC and KYS protocols.

• Perform Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs), while drafting associated data protection and privacy documentation.

• Address service abuse notifications, takedown requests, and disclosure inquiries from copyright holders, authorities, and other entities.

• Liaise with authorities, banks, and internal teams regarding matters within the scope of responsibilities.

• Create and evaluate workflows for managing service abuse and takedown notifications.

• Assist the Compliance Manager in evaluating compliance risks and executing related tasks.

• Support the Compliance Manager with due diligence activities related to business operations.

• Identify and highlight significant compliance issues and trends, escalating them to management as necessary.

• Keep abreast of regulatory changes and emerging best practices in compliance and risk management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A legal background or a minimum of 1 year of experience in compliance, privacy (data protection), or a related area.

• Certifications or completed training in compliance, privacy, or related fields are highly preferred.

• Previous experience in the IT or Cloud sector is advantageous.
