Compliance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain risk and compliance training programs throughout the organization.

• Conduct horizon scanning and manage regulatory change initiatives alongside the first line of defence.

• Create and execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan, focusing on outcome-driven monitoring activities.

• Monitor, challenge, and assist the business in the prompt resolution of identified compliance issues and actions, including those stemming from monitoring, audits, and regulatory interactions.

• Provide second line oversight and guidance on essential regulatory areas such as Consumer Duty, safeguarding, capital and liquidity, complaints handling, operational resilience, and outsourcing.

• Manage the firm's policy framework by drafting and maintaining Risk and Compliance policies and reviewing business policies to ensure they align with regulatory expectations and best practices.

• Ensure the timely submission of regulatory returns in line with the firm's reporting obligations and support internal automation initiatives by interpreting and aligning data items with reporting requirements.

• Facilitate engagement with regulators (e.g., FCA, FIN-FSA), including organizing responses to regulatory inquiries and information requests.

• Serve as a point of contact for third-party auditors when necessary.

• Oversee key governance frameworks, including conflicts of interest and whistleblowing procedures.

• Coordinate the Risk and Compliance Committee, including preparing materials and taking minutes.

• Contribute to wider Risk and Compliance initiatives, including ESG and investor reporting as needed.

• Promote the safe, ethical, and well-governed implementation of AI to enhance operational efficiencies, while providing oversight and challenge regarding the business's use of AI against regulatory expectations and internal governance standards.

• Lead the creation of important compliance reports, including the annual Consumer Duty board report and other periodic regulatory and board reports.

• Provide risk and compliance support across Enfuce group entities as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of the payments and e-money sector, including card issuing, card schemes, and BIN Sponsorship models.

• Proficient knowledge of UK and EU regulatory frameworks (FCA and FIN-FSA), covering key subjects such as safeguarding, Consumer Duty, outsourcing, and operational resilience.

• Strong analytical skills, with the capability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.

• Effective at independently researching and interpreting regulatory requirements, including in new or unfamiliar domains, and applying compliance monitoring and advisory practices to produce high-quality, risk-based assessments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to provide constructive challenge effectively.

• Exceptional attention to detail and robust organizational skills.

• Ability to grasp the broader business context and understand how regulatory requirements influence commercial and operational decisions.

• A proactive, hands-on approach, focused on delivering high-quality outcomes.
