Compliance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead intricate investigations into questionable activities and high-risk clients across various products and jurisdictions.

• Address regulatory examinations, internal audits, and partner evaluations with prompt and precise documentation.

• Supervise and finalize escalated SARs, assisting officers with the submission of regulatory reports.

• Handle LEA requests and responses to court orders in accordance with local laws and data policies.

• Educate and mentor the 2LOD team and new recruits on escalation frameworks and investigative methodologies.

• Perform thorough transaction analyses to aid in the refinement of risk rules and the development of typologies.

• Create and maintain clear, auditable desk procedures for both 1LOD and 2LOD teams.

• Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives as requested by the Head of Compliance and the MLRO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in financial crime investigations, encompassing SAR/STR management and typology development.

• Strong knowledge of CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and AML regulations within high-risk jurisdictions.

• Experience in managing LEA requests and dealing with confidential legal correspondence.

• Capability to interpret complex transaction patterns and evaluate financial crime risks.

• Decisive decision-maker with well-documented rationale.

• Background in an international money transfer business.

• Prior experience in training or mentoring junior investigators (preferred).

• Familiarity with regulatory examinations or internal audit preparation in fintech or financial institutions (preferred).
