This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Take ownership of proactively enhancing clinical project performance in line with contracted objectives while fulfilling customer expectations and maintaining operational excellence.
• Foster communication and collaboration with both the client and project team within a matrixed, multicultural setting.
• Spearhead the formulation of the clinical project strategy, ensuring prioritization with the clinical project team and key stakeholders for the development of clear, data-informed strategies and proactive management of project scope, timelines, quality, and budget.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to prepare and present materials for new business initiatives as necessary.
• Oversee the operational elements of projects to facilitate subject recruitment and retention, manage clinical vendor delivery, and supervise the monitoring visit strategy.
• Recognize clinical project, financial, and quality risks by utilizing comprehensive risk management practices and quality by design principles.
• Effectively leverage data sources, dashboards, and risk management strategies to promote innovation and proactive problem-solving with project and client teams.
• Comply with project governance and issue escalation procedures, ensuring that clinical project plans are established to address identified risks while adhering to professional standards, SOPs, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project team members and key stakeholders to oversee and manage clinical project budgets, resources, and scope.
• Ensure compliance with established budgets and financial milestones.
• Responsible for accurately forecasting clinical project revenue and managing project costs in alignment with the budget.
• Lead the timely management of scope changes and the change order process.
• Ensure project team awareness and tracking of KPIs for any client-specific metrics.
• Provide inspiring leadership and play a crucial role in forming high-performing clinical project teams, facilitating communication and teamwork while driving delivery, ensuring that clinical team members comprehend contracted scope, timelines, and budget.
• Ensure that clinical resource projections are precise and visible to resourcing teams, proactively flagging resource constraints and challenges.
• Mentor and develop team members across various areas of expertise, providing feedback to respective line managers as necessary.
• As required by project roles, participate in and oversee regulatory/ethics committee submissions, tracking, and documentation.
• Assist in new business efforts by actively engaging in Bid Defense preparation and meetings as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
• University or college degree (life sciences preferred) or certification in a related allied health profession (e.g., nursing, medical or laboratory technology) from an appropriately accredited institution.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• 2+ years of clinical research or monitoring experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully fulfill the key responsibilities of the role.
• Proficient understanding of ICH Guidelines and GCP, including international regulatory requirements for conducting clinical development programs.
• Advanced computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access, and PowerPoint).
• Experience managing projects within a matrix and virtual environment.
• Exceptional communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead by example and inspire team members to find solutions independently.
• Capability to manage multiple competing priorities and effectively utilize resources.
• Demonstrated ability to foster effective teamwork and motivate staff within a matrix system.
• Financial acumen and the ability to effectively use financial tracking systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and mentor junior project team members.
• Skilled in negotiating and liaising with clients in a professional manner.
• Competent in presenting to staff at all levels.
• Standard Office Environment or remote-based work options available.
• Travel Requirements: up to 30% (Global – primarily domestic and international).
