Audio Transcription Reviewer, Cantonese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Review completed audio transcriptions from Cantonese to English for accuracy and thoroughness.

• Verify the accuracy of audio segmentation and speaker identification.

• Identify and amend errors related to transcription, segmentation, and formatting.

• Ensure that healthcare terminology is accurately transcribed when relevant.

• Adhere to project guidelines to uphold consistent quality standards.

• Escalate any unclear or complex cases as necessary.

• Communicate with the Project Manager for any needed clarifications.

• Complete assigned batches within the designated project timeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in spoken Cantonese and capable of reading and writing in Traditional Chinese.

• Familiar with the Hong Kong Cantonese accent.

• Comfortable reviewing Cantonese-English conversations that include code-switching and occasional English medical terminology.

• Fluent in English for effective project communication and comprehension of project guidelines.

• Previous experience in reviewing transcriptions, subtitles, or language-related content is preferred.

• A background in healthcare or familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail with the capability to identify errors in transcription and segmentation.

• Proficient in using a Cantonese Jyutping keyboard.

• Able to consistently follow detailed project guidelines.

• Must have access to a laptop or desktop computer, a headset, and a reliable internet connection.
