This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Oversee and manage transactions while ensuring compliance with the bank's and regulatory authorities' requirements.
β’ Administer and supervise the Fircosoft System, maintaining comprehensive control over referrals and the release of messages.
β’ Execute all transactions within the agreed turnaround time (TAT), ensuring zero errors and adherence to bank policies and guidelines.
β’ Ensure completion of the daily checklist activities for Account Managers and verify that all tasks are accomplished without exception.
β’ Handle daily escalations and provide feedback to users.
β’ Allocate responsibilities, prepare reports, and conduct reconciliation activities for RFI cases across all locations, specifically UAE and IBG regions (excluding Egypt and Kuwait).
β’ Review and authorize transactions with 100% accuracy in line with established delivery standards and agreed operating procedures.
β’ Notify the compliance team in case of any sanctions applied against individuals, entities, or countries for further approval.
β’ Request updates from the compliance team regarding the sanction screening process.
β’ Identify gaps in processes and suggest system enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce risks, and elevate delivery standards.
β’ Offer continuous training and awareness to both existing and newly onboarded staff about all relevant internal and external compliance requirements, as well as awareness programs aimed at bolstering understanding of legal/statutory requirements and corporate policies.
β’ Provide timely and precise MIS/reports to the Unit Manager and other units while managing referrals and releasing messages to various departments.
β’ Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and bank policies within the agreed TAT and with zero tolerance for errors. Conduct monthly stakeholder meetings.
β’ 8-10 years of experience in banking operations, with practical experience in a checker role requiring comprehensive banking skills and technical knowledge.
β’ In-depth knowledge and understanding of general banking, screening activities, anti-money laundering practices, and the regulatory policies of various countries.
β’ Proficient working knowledge of Mashreq processes and systems.
β’ Expertise in interpreting banking regulations, laws, anti-money laundering regulations, and similar frameworks.
β’ Extensive experience in conducting investigations through public domain searches.
β’ Familiarity with PEP, adverse media, and sanctions screening methodologies.
